What We Do

Training & Development

Fast Foward ProgrammeFast Foward Programme

In partnership with specialist external training providers that are primarily funded and supported by the City of Cork Vocational Education Committee, Cork Foyer is able to provide an internal range of  formal and informal training programmes aimed at equipping young people with the skills to progress both personally and professionally for life beyond the Foyer.

Each programme has been specifically designed to address the various aspects of personal development that can be used as a stepping stone to prepare for employment, mainstream training or further education. The courses allow the participants to tailor the programme to meet their specific needs, adding to the overall learning outcome and enjoyment.

The following programmes promote self development, motivation, self confidence, social and interpersonal skills and general preparation for independent living and life long learning.

Most courses held at the Foyer are facilitated by external organisations at different times throughout the year and depend on continued funding. If you would like to confirm when a course is due to start or simply find out more information about the courses listed, please contact the Foyer Deputy Manager/Training Co-ordinator.
