This is a FETAC Level III course and the specific learning outcomes are grouped as nine units. However, these may be delivered and assessed in an integrated manner.  Units 1 – 6 cover basic mathematical procedures carried out with natural numbers, fractions and percentages and include the use of basic mathematical operations in concrete situations such as shopping, managing money and carrying out different kinds of measurement.
