The recent opening of a new Mini Pet Farm to complement the Cork Foyer Garden Project has continued to build on the concept of a City Farm which was first introduced to Cork in 2009 by celebrity chef Richard Corrigan. The Corrigan’s City Farm programme followed the trials and tribulations of several volunteers growing their own fruit and vegetables and keeping small livestock.

The Garden Project is open 7 days a week and offers superb views from a seasonal café (currently open Monday to Friday 10 am – 4 pm), a toddler play park, allotments and a tranquil and safe family setting in the bustling suburbs of Cork City.

In helping to promote this hidden gem and celebrate the opening of our new free mini pet farm, we are running a competition to find a great name for one of our pet pigs and one of our rabbits.

If you would like to submit a suggested name for our pets and possibly win a family pass for Fota Wildlife Park, simply fill in the entry form attached and return it to the Cork Foyer, Assumption Road, Blackpool, by Friday 9th July 2010. Don’t forget you must be 12 years of age or under to enter!
